But the good news is that there are five of those situated conveniently around the lake itself, providing multiple sites with varied accommodations for year-round camping opportunities (note - availability and accommodations vary by campground and are subject to change). Those campgrounds are:
If you are looking for tent-only group camping - you can find it at the Recreation Point Group Campsite and Picnic area.
All these campgrounds are managed by Sierra Recreation (a subgroup of Vista Recreation) as a concessionaire for the USFS Sierra National Forest. Reservation of campgrounds either on-line via www.recreation.gov or call (877) 444-6777 for reservations. The listings for the campsites provide a wealth of information including detailed site descriptions, identification of facilities, etc... For clarifications of you are in need of any information beyond this, we recommend you contact the Sierra Recreation Office directly. That number is (559) 642-3212.
In addition to the campgrounds, there are several day use/picnic areas, also managed by Sierra Recreation, at Bass Lake. These include:
Recreation Point Picnic Area, Denver Church, Little Denver Church, Pine Slope, The Falls, Lakeside, Pine Point, Willow Cove and Rocky Point. Note - there is a fee of $10 per day for parking at the day-use areas.
