Art Class: Mosaic with Denise Davidson
Location: Happy Isles Art and Nature Center (Shuttle Stop 16). This workshop will be held entirely indoors.
Time: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM ~ Monday through Friday.
Please arrive between 8:30 AM and 8:45 AM. Please build in extra time if taking the shuttle or walking from the parking lot.
No art experience? No problem! This mosaic art class is ideal for beginners. Over the course of four hours, artist Denise Davidson will guide you through the process of designing and creating your own mosaic artwork. You’ll explore the different types of glass and ceramics used in mosaics, and you’ll learn to attach them to a “substrate,” or surface, to create your final design.
Once you have the basics, you’ll choose a design template inspired by Yosemite’s natural beauty and build out your mosaic creation. Bring your piece home as a memento from your time in the park!
Experience level: Little to no experience required, ages 12+. All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Registration fee: $40 per day per visitor. Advanced registration encouraged. Walk-up registration available as space allows.

Materials: Supplies for this class are included in the registration fee.
