The beauty of Yosemite
National Park is legendary. The iconic images of Yosemite such as Half Dome, El Capitan, Bridalveil and Yosemite Falls have inspired millions of people and countless amateur and professional photographers alike.
As you explore California's Gateway to Yosemite, you will find beauty everywhere. One of the most striking visions throughout Madera County is the vineyards. The fertile soil of the valley grows beautiful vineyards and verdant orchards that stretch on toward the horizon. Clear waters of brooks and rivers make their way through the countryside, quenching the thirst of countless animals and creating a lush, riparian habitat.
As you make your way toward Yosemite, you'll find rolling hills covered in green grasses and in the spring, boasting wildflowers of every color. Soon you find yourself amidst mighty oaks and bull pines, then ponderosa and sugar pine and incense cedar as you come to the Sierra National Forest.
Make your way to Yosemite National Park and you'll find the stately Giant Sequoia. These massive trees, among the largest living things on Earth, are awe inspiring to behold.
As you tour throughout Madera County: California's Gateway to Yosemite, remember to bring that camera and plenty of memory cards. You'll be sure to fill them up with beautiful images from Yosemite and beyond.
