Join Yosemite lovers, art lovers, collectors and artists for an art auction to benefit Yosemite Renaissance on August 28 at the Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite! These popular and exciting auctions feature the work of artists who have exhibited in the Yosemite Renaissance competition as well as those who have participated in the park's Artist-in-Residence program. Paintings, photographs, prints, sculpture and fabric art will be included. Starting August 16, pieces up for auction will be available for viewing at www.yosemiterenaissance.org. On-line bids will be accepted up to 5 pm on August 28. Works will be on display at the Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite Valley on Wednesday, August 27 and Thursday, August 28. A reception with food and drink will precede the live auction, which will begin at 6 pm. No admission charge. All proceeds benefit the Artist-in-Residence program of Yosemite Renaissance, a non-profit organization dedicated to the support of the arts of Yosemite. - May 23: Nite Flite uses the distinctive sound of Latin jazz as the base of percussion-driven music, fusing rhythm and blues with the beat of classic rock chart toppers.
- May 30: Papa Bear and Company presents a great mix of rhythm & blues, Motown, jazz and oldies sure to get fingers snapping and dancing shoes tapping.
- June 6: 'Nuff Said, a talented quartet of superb musicians, uses four part vocal harmonies to produce an exciting night of rock and roll to stir the soul.
- June 13: Arrival is a classic rock party and dance show full of high energy and dynamic talent that makes for an electrifying evening for all.
- June 20: Time Slip takes a musical journey to past hits from the greatest groups of all time. Once the music starts, the dancing begins.
- June 27: Nite Flite
- July 4: The Beach Band presents the dance-happy beat known as the surfer sound. Their tight vocal and instrumental harmonies are powered by superb musicianship.
- July 11: Sunset Steel Drum Band is a unique musical gumbo blending the sound of the Caribbean with the beat of America's dance hits. It's a funky musical slugfest where Belefonte meets Santana.
- July 18: Horizon offers an eclectic evening of music and dancing by combining Tex-Mex, Salsa and Rancheros hits with Country, Top 40, Oldies and classic rock.
