Bass Lake Resorts "Spring" Into The Season On March 29th

American Cuisine, Family Friendly, Fishing, Outdoor Activities, Pet Friendly, Resorts, Hotels, Motels, Vacation Homes & Cabins, Water Activities

Seasons are what make a year special. Of course, there’s the divisions based on weather, ecology and amount of daylight. But there’s also seasons based on activities and types of fun you can have. For us in Madera county, one day in particular is more special than others. On March 29th, the two pillars of the Bass Lake Resort community re-open.

Dawn Of Fun On AND Off The Waters Of Bass Lake

Less than an hour from Fresno, the shores and crystal-clear waters of Bass Lake will be abuzz yet again. The Forks Resort opens for their 72nd season and Miller’s Landing Resort for their respective 38th year. These long-time favorites offer up delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner opportunities both inside and outside on the patio showcasing the spectacular Bass Lake. Of course, you can’t forget the Pines Resort (open year-round) complete with a vast assortment of onsite dining options such as Ducey’s and the Pines Bar.

Your Chance To Enjoy “The Great Outdoors”

For those unaware, Bass Lake is the “star” in the classic John Hughes film “The Great Outdoors” featuring John Candy and Dan Aykroyd. Make a go at your own “great outdoors” experience by renting a cabin. Bass Lake offers numerous rental homes and cabins, some right on the lakefront with docks. If camping under the stars is more your style, there are plenty of camping options around the lake as well. And for those wanting to get on the water, rent a boat via Bass Lake Boat Rentals or grab a bite to eat at Marina Burger.

Biggest Little Lake With The Alpine Feel

Situated at an elevation of 3,400’ above sea level, surrounded by majestic pines and tall peaks, this little piece of heaven reminds many who visit this pine-trimmed reservoir of its bigger cousin further north – Lake Tahoe. But one thing makes this body of water vastly different. This little lake with a big alpine feel has surface waters that become blissfully warm in summer, hovering around 75°F/24°C. So, mark the calendar and start planning your trip today!
