Yosemite Theater presents John Muir's Wild Mountain Adventures

Explore wild America with John Muir! Follow Muir on his journeys through the western wilderness as he survives risky encounters with wild animals, ferocious mountain storms and dangerous glaciers. Celebrated Muir actor and historian Lee Stetson will get your heart racing with tales of the famous naturalist’s thrilling, often nerve-racking travels from Alaska to the Sierra Nevada. Stetson will invite audience members to help select the stories he spins on stage, weaving together a unique performance each week. How and, especially, why did John Muir risk his life so often? Come find out!

Dates:  Thursdays, May 16th through October 10th, (except:  July 18th, July 25th, August 1st, and September 26th.).  All shows at 7:00pm

Lee Stetson

Lee Stetson has portrayed Muir in Yosemite since 1983. Stetson is passionate about promoting the performing arts in national parks. Stetson has performed on stage and television, is the voice of John Muir in Ken Burns’ PBS documentary “The National Parks: America’s Best Idea,” and has been a freelance director.
