Welcome to my family's beautiful 360 acre cattle ranch just outside of Yosemite National Park. Homesteaded in 1892 by our great great great grandfather. Seven generations later my family continues our love affair with this land and it's mountains and canyons and oakwood savannahs and of course, the river. Come and experience the magic we call our home.
The space
Enjoy beautiful winter in a warm and toasty old cabin built on the edge of the Fresno River. Privacy and nature abound. A most relaxing space to quiet down and rest. Best sleep of your life. The lull of the river will relax you into a deep slumber upon rich bed linens. Romantic. Secluded. Beautiful. Two indoor bedrooms and one great covered screened-in sleeping porch. The screened porch is the best room in the house we think. A wonderful sleep. Even in winter with the flannel sheets, electric blankets and thick comforter many of our guests sleep out there. My grandparents slept on the screened porch all year round. Others choose to sleep in doors. Both are warm and cozy.
Spend the afternoon exploring the Fresno river. Nap on the porch. Make soup, read books, play board games, nap and enjoy the people you love.
And then there are the mornings on the deck over the river which are magical. A plethora of wildlife abounds.
360 acres of hiking through old mining country with its rivers, springs, mountains and canyons. All families are welcome here. A safe and wonderful place to explore. Say hello to our family's cows and horses. Gentle, sweet and docile they are.
The Mariposa Grove Big Tree Entrance to Yosemite park is a mere 25 minute drive along a beautiful cedar tree lined road. Welcome!
