Southern Yosemite Visitors Bureau, dba Visit Yosemite | Madera County (VYMC), has created this privacy policy in order to demonstrate our commitment to privacy. Your privacy on the Visit Yosemite | Madera County web site (the “Site”) is of great importance to us. Because we sometimes gather important information from our users, we have established a means to communicate to our users how we use and handle the information collected. This Privacy Policy discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices. 

Collected Information Visit Yosemite | Madera County permits users of the Site to input certain personally identifiable information (“User Information”). Personal Data: Access and Request Deletion

To request your personal information on file or the deletion of your personal data from the system  please submit a verifiable consumer request to us by emailing us at ysvb@yosemitethisyear.com.
Only you, or a person registered with the California Secretary of State that you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. You may also make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child.

You may only make a verifiable consumer request for access or data portability twice within a 12-month period. The verifiable consumer request must:

Provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected personal information or an authorized representative.

We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you.

We will only use personal information provided in a verifiable consumer request to verify the requestor's identity or authority to make the request.

Protecting Information We use industry standard methods to protect any personal information (name, address, phone number and email address) information you may share with us in the course of registering for our electronic communications. 

Participation in contests, sweepstakes, raffles, games or similar promotions sponsored by YMC or by third parties also requires the disclosure of personally identifiable information. We may share that information with third-party sponsors of the contests, sweepstakes, raffles, games or similar promotions. This information is subject to usage outlined above. In addition, you should carefully review the rules of each contest, sweepstakes, raffle, game or similar promotion in which you participate. This privacy policy applies to the treatment and use of your personally identifiable information.

Third Party Sites: The Site may contain links to other sites on the internet. Visit Yosemite | Madera County is not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of: the user agreement of or the content of such sites. You will need to check the user agreement and the privacy policy statement of such other sites to understand their policies and practices. In interacting with such sites you may be sharing private information with such sites. It is your responsibility to keep such information private and confidential.
