  • Oakhurst Fall Festival: Embrace the spirit of fall at the Oakhurst Fall Festival, a family-friendly celebration filled with fun and entertainment.

  • Sierra Art Trails Open Studio Tour: Discover the diverse artistry of the Southern Yosemite Region on the Sierra Art Trails Open Studio Tour.

  • Chukchansi Pow Wow: Experience the electrifying Chukchansi Pow Wow, a captivating celebration of Native American culture.

  • Madera Pomegranate, Fruit & Nut Festival: The first Saturday of November shines with a one-day festival to celebrate the region's bountiful harvest. There are vendors, kid's games, music, food demonstrations, and more pomegranate-themed fun than you ever dreamed possible.

  • Bass Lake Tree Lighting Ceremony & Parade: The Saturday following Thanksgiving, the holiday season officially begins with the Bass Lake Tree Lighting Ceremony & Parade. This festive tradition fills revilers with joy, wonder, and the season's spirit.

March

  • Chowchilla Stampede & Cattle Drive: March kicks off with the thundering hooves of the Chowchilla Stampede & Cattle Drive. This exhilarating rodeo spectacle is a testament to the region's ranching heritage.

  • Earth Day Celebrations: Embrace your green side at the Earth Day Celebrations at Yosemite Village in Yosemite National Park. The region takes pride in its eco-friendly endeavors, and this event reflects that commitment.

  • Raymond Parade: The Raymond Parade has embodied community spirit for over 30 years! This small town with a big heart celebrates on the third Saturday of April with a parade, food, games, and entertainment.

  • Coarsegold Rodeo: The first weekend in May is all about the Coarsegold Rodeo, a thrilling showcase of rodeo skills and cowboy culture.

  • Coarsegold Peddler's Fair: Discover unique treasures at the Coarsegold Peddler's Fair, where vendors showcase their wares, from crafts to antiques.

  • Antique & Classic Wooden Boat Show: Sail back in time at the Antique & Classic Wooden Boat Show. Admire the beauty and craftsmanship of these timeless vessels.

  • Yosemite Half Marathon: Lace up your running shoes for the Yosemite Half Marathon, a scenic race through the breathtaking landscape of Bass Lake in the Southern Yosemite Gateway.

July

  • Fireworks Shows: The skies light up in July with fireworks shows over the water of  Bass Lake and at the fairgrounds in Chowchilla and Madera. Don’t miss these dazzling patriotic celebrations!

  • Mid-Sierra Loggers Jamboree: Paying homage to Madera's deep-rooted connection with the lumber industry. This event is a testament to the region's historic ties to logging and the skilled lumberjacks who shaped its history. As a fun fact, the name "Madera" translates to "lumber" in Spanish.

  • Joaquín Murrieta Horse Pilgrimage: Delve into the fascinating legend of Joaquín Murrieta, an infamous outlaw, and his enduring impact on the region.
