Those curious about capturing the dramatic three-dimensionality of Yosemite Valley on paper are invited to join artist Fran Calvert for an inspiring class in watercolor field sketching. This session demystifies the process and helps beginning artists connect with Yosemite’s dynamic landscape. Participants learn the basics of creating quick, efficient “plein air” compositions using easy-to-learn tools and techniques, and create a frame-worthy piece of art using simple, time-honored watercolor practices.
