Talking Bear - Oakhurst

Address: Corner of Highway 41 & Road 426, Oakhurst, CA 93644
Website: www.facebook.com/talkingbear

Meet the World Famous Talking Bear!   The Talking Bear has been watching over the town of Oakhurst and delivering his message to visitors and locals for over 55 years.  Hugh Schollenbarger began his quest to obtain a Grizzly Bear in 1963, finally finding him at the Fiberglass Menagerie Co. in Alpine.  The lifelike bear was delivered and installed in 1965.  Stop by his corner at Highway 41 and Road 426 (at Century 21 Ditton Realty) for a photo op and a history lesson straight from the bear's mouth. Follow him on Facebook at:  https://www.facebook.com/talkingbear
