The Mountain Area Runners would like to invite all runners and walkers to join in the celebration of the 

38th Smokey Bear Run / Walk

Recreation Point, Bass Lake

Road 222 closes to all vehicles at 7:00 AM and reopens at 11:00 AM

Enjoy beautiful Bass Lake, California, on Saturday, September 20, 2025, for the Smokey Bear Run / Walk. This year's event proceeds will benefit CAL FIRE, the USFS Fire Prevention Programs, and the Madera County Sheriff volunteer programs.

The courses run on Road 222, which edges Bass Lake. Slightly rolling hills and pristine views of Bass Lake are in store for 10k and 2-mile participants!
