The Yosemite Gateway Art Center proudly presents “THREADS – A Collection of Exquisite Fine Art Quilts,” an inspiring showcase celebrating the artistry, imagination, and mastery of contemporary quiltmakers. Visitors are invited to experience a stunning array of fine art quilts created by some of the most innovative names in the field, including Jean Ray Laury, Lura Schwarz Smith, Janet Morita, Vivian Helena Aumond Capone, Sue Johnson, Sally Walker, and more.

This remarkable exhibition highlights the depth and diversity of modern quilt artistry—where fabric, color, and storytelling come together in works that are as technically impressive as they are visually captivating. “THREADS” opens Saturday, December 6th, and will be open daily from 11am to 5pm, with the gallery closed on Tuesdays.

Guests are also warmly invited to meet the artists and celebrate their work during the Artist Reception on Saturday, December 13th, from 3pm to 6pm—a perfect opportunity for art lovers and quilt enthusiasts alike to connect, learn, and be inspired.
