Overnight Camping Under the Milky Way

Backpack Trip begins on Saturday, June 13, at 4:00 PM

 and concludes on Sunday, June 14, at 10:00 AM

Ostrander Lake Trailhead, Yosemite National Park

On this guided overnight trip, participants experience one of Yosemite’s natural treasures: its night skies. After meeting the trip leader, Brian Shoor, the group hikes about a mile from the Ostrander Lake Trailhead to camp. As night falls, Brian highlights stars, constellations, and planets while sharing astronomy, stories, and cultural lore from around the world. With simple camping gear and meals, guests enjoy an unforgettable night under the mountain sky.


Experience Level: Intermediate

Hiking: 1 - 3 miles / day

Elevation: 7,000 feet
