Ranger Walk ~ Wild About Bears

Get wild about Yosemite’s most fascinating furry residents! Join a Park Ranger for a free daily talk in front of the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center and discover the amazing world of black bears.

Learn about a bear’s journey from curious cub to experienced parent, how bears share their home with millions of Yosemite visitors, and what you can do to help keep them safe. Rangers will share tips on proper food storage, what to do if you encounter a bear, and how to respectfully give these incredible animals their space.

Special Note: No bear sightings expected — just plenty of fascinating facts, stories, and a new appreciation for Yosemite’s wild neighbors!
