Take on the challenge of Yosemite’s High Country with a Ranger-led hike to scenic Dog Lake in Tuolumne Meadows! This rewarding adventure combines stunning alpine views with fascinating stories from Yosemite’s past.

Discover how Dog Lake got its name, explore the history of sheep grazing before Yosemite became a National Park, and learn how conservation efforts have evolved from past practices to protecting native species and habitats today.

Designed for experienced hikers and active older families, guests should come prepared with water, snacks, sunscreen, and a sense of adventure!
