Bear Talks with Ranger Jill

The Redwoods Fireside Deck in Yosemite

This summer, guests are invited to join Ranger Jill at The Redwoods Fireside Deck for a fun and educational program about Yosemite’s bears and how to stay “Bear(y) Aware!”

Guests will learn simple ways to help protect Yosemite’s wildlife, including properly storing food and scented items, keeping cabins secure, staying alert on the trails, and what to do if a bear approaches.

This complimentary program is open to the public and is kid- and pet-friendly. Enjoy a morning of bear awareness, helpful tips, and complimentary snacks and soft drinks while learning how to safely share Yosemite with its wild neighbors!

Occurs: Every week on Wednesday, Sunday until June 28, 2026
Time: 8:00 AM - 8:45 AM

Admission: FREE
