Stewardship Series: Reading Yosemite's Rocks

Friday, July 24th; 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Geology Hut at Glacier Point in Yosemite

Visit the place where the story of Yosemite Conservancy began. In 1924, the Geology Hut at Glacier Point became the first completed project of the Yosemite Museum Association — the organization that would later become Yosemite Conservancy.

During this program, guests will discover how ancient glaciers shaped iconic landmarks like Half Dome and El Capitan, explore the formation of the Sierra Nevada over millions of years, and uncover what the rocks beneath their feet reveal about Yosemite’s ever-changing geological history.

Registration is required.

Starts: July 24, 2026

Time: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Admission: $25 per guest; FREE for YC Donors

Location: Geology Hut at Glacier Point
Glacier Point, CA 95389
