Glacier Point Star Party

Friday & Saturday, August 7th & 8th

Glacier Point Amphitheater

Guests are invited to experience the wonder of Yosemite’s night sky during the Glacier Point Star Party, hosted by the Mount Diablo Astronomical Society  in cooperation with the National Park Service.

This informal, family-friendly program begins at 8:30 PM at the Glacier Point Amphitheater. Visitors may drop in anytime and stay as long as they like while amateur astronomers share their telescopes and knowledge of the universe.

Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic, dress warmly, and bring a headlamp set to red light to help preserve everyone’s night vision. Then, simply look up and gaze in wonder at the stars above Yosemite!

Star parties will be canceled if the sky is overcast.
