Oakhurst’s 29th Annual Oakhurst Fall Festival is bringing back their “Small-Town Fair” Friday, October 7th through Sunday, October 9th

Oakhurst, CA, (September 14, 2022) – The 29th Annual Oakhurst Fall Festival, presented by the Oakhurst Area Chamber of Commerce, is excited to bring back its annual Small-Town Fair from Friday, October 7th through Sunday, October 9th. Save the date for a full weekend of fun for the entire family!

The Oakhurst Community Park will be filled with rides, food and specialty booths offering everything from collectibles to local wine samplings, hand-crafted beers and much, much more. The Oakhurst Fall Festival is the largest event in Eastern Madera County with attendance from locals in Oakhurst & the surrounding communities, Madera & Fresno, and all the way to the northern and southern tips of California. What’s a Small-Town fair without carnival rides, fun-filled pumpkin patch and a donut hole eating contest for kids set for Saturday afternoon.

“This family friendly event offers locals and visitors a Small-Town Fair themed experience and people of all ages are sure to find something they like!  I’m so thankful to the Oakhurst Chamber and the Festival Committee for putting on such a fun annual event.” said Donna Smith, Festival Co-Chair.

The FORCES will become STRONG at 7 pm on Friday as Jedi and villains from Star Wars wreak havoc on the festival.  Light Sabers can be purchased, 1-hour before the event, for training your soon-to-be Padawan. Some other children's activities include balloon animals, face painting, carnival rides and games. Tickets for rides will be available for sale separately from admission into the festival.

Saturday at 12:30 pm, the local Golden Chain Theatre will do a special sneak-preview performance of their upcoming rendition of the musical The Sound of Music which runs from November 4 through December 18, 2022.

Live, acoustic music will be playing in the food court for your enjoyment on Friday starting at 3 pm with Chris & Larry, then enjoy a Gymnastics by Diane show at 6:30.  Saturday & Sunday will have live music starting at 10 am throughout the day, which includes the very popular ‘What Comes Next’ band set to begin Saturday at 3 p.m.

New this year will be a spectacular aerial performance by Yosemite Movement Arts.  Don’t miss this impressive show featuring aerial acrobatics with silks and hoops on Saturday evening at 7 pm.

There will be lots of vendors offering everything from homemade goodies to clothing and merchandise for sale. A delicious variety of food trucks will also be there all three days along with a beverage booth offering sodas, water, beer and wine for sale.

Saturday the Beer & Wine Tasting Pavilion is open from 12 pm to 5 pm. Taste hand-crafted brew from Oakhurst’s South Gate Brewing as well as other California brews.  Sip wine from local wineries along the Madera Wine Trail such as Idle Hour Winery, Fasi Estate Winery and Westbrook Wine Farm, plus other California wineries like Coquelicot Estate Vineyard in Los Olivos.  Plus, a special treat from Mariposa’s own Sierra Cider, sampling their Hard Cider.
