The Badger Pass Ski Area, operated by park concessionaire Yosemite Hospitality, is California’s original ski area, offering affordable winter fun. With 10 slope runs of varying difficulty and five lifts, Badger Pass Ski Area is the perfect winter destination for beginner skiers and snowboarders. In addition to downhill skiing and snowboarding, Yosemite boasts nearly 100 miles of stunning cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails that originate from the Badger Pass Ski Area. The ski area offers rentals, lessons, food & beverage services and guided cross-country and snowshoe trips.  Snow Tubing and the Terrain Park are also fun options for snow play.

Join the Yosemite Mountaineering School and Guide Service on an epic day of snowshoeing through Yosemite's winter wonderland. Our professional guides will lead you through meadows, fir and pine forests on the way to one of Yosemite's most breathtaking views, Dewey Point, located at the rim of the valley. From this perspective, Yosemite's icons are visible: El Capitan, Half Dome, Mt. Hoffman, Mt. Conness, and the Clark Range. Due to the snowshoe walk's distance and duration, children must be at least 12 years old and accompanied by an adult.

Ticketing and rental shop are open 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Lifts are open 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
