The saying “toast of the town” has been around since the early 18th century. Over the years, it evolved into meaning you're admired and popular in local society and sought after to attend gatherings. When it comes to adult beverages, these three establishments are truly the Toast of Oakhurst.

South Gate Brewing Company

South Gate Brewing Company Gift Set #1Up first is SGBC. Home to multiple award-winning beers such as their Oaktown Pecan Brown and Glacier Point Pale Ale, expect flavorful concoctions on tap. This brewery doesn’t rest on its laurels either. Besides having their staples, they always craft a few unique ones you'll want to sample too. Even if you aren’t a beer drinker, their food is a worthy pit stop. Especially after you’ve explored Yosemite National Park or any of the surrounding great outdoors. You’ll find seasonal specialty items such as a stone fruit bread or Kimchi Burger alongside their mouthwatering pizzas.

Idle Hour Winery & Kitchen

In this day and age, we’re always rushing to the next thing, be it an attraction or some work deadline. It’s important to set an “idle hour” and savor the moment. As the name alludes, Idle Hour Winery and Kitchen is the perfect place to do just that. Hosting a cozy wine and beer garden on the Fresno River, you’ll hear the sounds of nature as you sip on one of their single vineyard designated wines.

Oakhurst Spirits

Oakhurst Spirits Holiday Gift Box #1Looking for a destination that’s focused on making a quality product instead of the next marketing spiel? Then this is your place. Oakhurst Spirits focuses on creating spirits best in their categories that visitors and regulars will enjoy without chasing accolades. You’ll find unique concoctions such as a Gin made with handpicked juniper berries from Olmsted Point in Yosemite or a vodka infused with locally sourced lavender.

Raise your glass be it filled with spirit, brew, or wine and toast to a job well done exploring the Toast of Oakhurst. For those looking for more experiences, be sure to take a close look at one of the oldest wine regions in the US on the Madera Wine Trail or take a journey on the Yosemite Sierra Wine Road. Yosemite might be the star, but there’s lots to see and do outside of the park boundaries if you slow your roll and do a bit of exploring.
