Day 1: Arrival and Exploration

Welcome to Yosemite's Southern Gateway. The drive from San Francisco is approximately 200 miles (320 KM, or 3.5 hours), and from Los Angeles, about 270 miles (445 KM, or 4.5 hours), leading you directly to the charming towns of Oakhurst and Bass Lake.

Day 2: Yosemite’s Natural Wonders

Engage with Nature and History

• Morning Fuel: Start with a hearty breakfast at Bee’s Bakery before heading north on Highway 41 towards Yosemite’s South Gate. Indulge in the homemade pastries and fresh coffee at this group-friendly restaurant before heading out for a day of exploration.
• Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad: Kick off your adventure with a ride on "The Logger," a historic steam train that traverses the scenic Sierra National Forest. Don’t forget to pick up a to-go picnic lunch from the railroad; their freshly prepared meals are perfect for enjoying later in the day. The site also features bus parking, a small museum that delves into the region's logging history, and a gold panning area where visitors can try their luck at finding gold just as the miners did during the California Gold Rush.

• Evening Unwind: If you still have some energy left, consider relaxing at The Queen's Inn by the River, enjoying their cozy wine and beer garden, or having a delightful dinner at the Idle Hour Winery and Kitchen. For more light-hearted fun, head over to Go Play Party Zone for a round of mini-golf.
